The Yorkshire Dales National Park spans over 2100km2 and is found in North Yorkshire in England. Interestingly, a whopping 20,000 residents actually live and work within the park, and on top of which, over eight million visitors come to the national park each year. Recently, the park went through extension efforts in 2016 and was increased by nearly 24%, as the park was brought closer to the towns of Kirkby Lonsdale and Kirkby Stephen, instead of being solely confined to Yorkshire county. The park remains a hotspot for visitors to trek and cycle.
