A large recreational park on Yeouido Island, Seoul.

Yeouido Park is a large recreational area located on Yeouido Island in the central sector of Seoul, South Korea. It is now frequented by tourists and locals as a place for cycling, rollerblading and other recreational activities. The park was officially opened in 1999 and is divided into various themed areas like the Traditional Korean Forest, Culture Square and Nature’s Ecosystem Forest. Many mass cultural events and performances are held at the Cultural Square and it is considered to be a good place to chill and relax. Perhaps one of the biggest attractions is the Yunjunro Street which is famous for having beautiful blooming cherry blossoms. The trees line up for about 6km and the park remains a popular site in the spring time.

Tips Before You Go
There is a convenience store just outside the park, so make sure you try out quintessential Korean snacks such as ice cream bread and banana milk. The park typically gets packed during cherry blossom season, but if you visit during another time, it shouldn’t be too crowded.
