The oldest zoo in Poland!

The Wroclaw Zoological Gardens is situated along Wroblewskiego Street in Wroclaw, Poland and to date remains the oldest of its kind in the country. In fact, it has been operational since 1865 while the city was still part of Prussia, although it was operating under a different name — the Breslau Zoological Garden. The zoo also owns the largest collection of animals, with over 10,500 animals from a whopping 1132 species. The zoo spans over 33 hectares and is split into various attractions including the Madagascar Pavilion, the Terrarium, and the Children’s Zoo, with there being many eateries as well. Tips Before You Go
It is advised that you visit the zoo as early as possible, because even a day might not be enough for you to explore it in its entirety. Just don’t visit during the winter though, as the animals in the outdoor enclosures are brought inside. This means that most of the zoo will seem deserted, when they actually boast the largest collection of animals.
