Volvo Museum

Many of us will have ridden in the classic Volvo motorcar before, but ironically, few of us would be able to explain anything much about the actual company itself. Learn how this iconic car manufacturer rose through the ranks and reached the level of success it enjoys today here at the Volvo Museum.

Safe, stylishly designed, and comfortable, Volvo did not attain the status of everybody’s favourite car brand by accident. Innovative ideas and creative prototypes led to the Volvo we know and love today, which you can discover through the numerous exhibition vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks, marine engines and construction equipment, not to mention the exhaustive archive of historical documents and pictures housed in this museum. Trace the history of the Volvo company’s rise to fame all the way to its humble beginnings in 1927. Don’t worry about your children, as there is a classic volvo car available to occupy their attention while you browse the extensive archives.

There is also a full size model of Volvo’s award winning SUV, the XC90. Not impressed? Well there’s a twist - the model is made entirely of Lego Modelling bricks! Previously displayed at LEGOLAND in California, the Volvo Museum is now the lucky one to house this quirky version of the familiar family car. Guided tours are also available with booking for larger groups. And there’s a cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can savour some comforting ice cream with a sunny view to boot. Visit the museum shop selling all manner of exclusive novelty items that you will be tempted to gift to every Volvo driver you know (and of course also to prove to your friends that you’re now an expert on all things Volvo!).
