Vlychada Beach

A beautiful beach featuring carved cliffs that appears to be like it was a sculptor’s work!

The Vlychada Beach is a beautiful beach that is easily accessible by bus or car and is situated at the southern sector of Santorini, about 13 kilometres away from Fira. It is popular amongst tourists and locals for its wide array of carved cliffs that from afar, look like it came from a sculptor but were in fact the beautiful result of natural weathering processes.

A long beach with shallow waters and black volcanic sand, much like most of the other beaches in Santorini. It is usually not very crowded and has sunbeds, umbrellas and food stalls spread across, allowing you to have a well-relaxed day out there whilst enjoying the spectacular sights and sounds. The Sailing and Yachting Centre is also in close proximity where you can rent water sports equipment or enjoy a good meal at the marina. It is certainly worth the visit if you love the sand, sea and surfing!
