Villa Necchi Campiglio

A gem at the heart of Milan.

Take a break from the rush of the crowd in Milan and head for the Villa Necchi Campiglio. Its Rationalist architecture will pique the interest of anyone who visits, what with its striking and imposing façade. A lush garden surrounds it, with budding tulips and other vibrant blossoms. Built in the early 20th century for Angelo Campiglio and his family, the Villa retains its original design and structure despite having been occupied by the Fascist Army.

As you enter the foyer, you will be greeted with walnut panels and steel embossed doors. Gold runs along many of the frames and impressive artworks are hung up around the house. This includes works by Giorgio de Chirico and Adolfo Wildt. Book lovers might go wild in the library, with its rosewood bookcases and delightful atmosphere. If you gaze out from the right place, you can see the inviting swimming pool. Here in this architectural wonder, classical architecture meets the modern style, and you will no doubt leave wondering how such a gem was conceived.
