Villa Cimbrone Gardens

A stunning villa now transformed into hotel, the gardens within its compounds are what grabs the most attention.

Originating from the 11th century, the Villa Cimbrone boasts a garden, spectacular in every way possible. Revamped as a five-star hotel now, it is perched on the coast of Amalfi, overlooking an absolutely splendid panoramic view. Boasting views of the sky and sea at their best, the two are in a spectacular shade of azure blue, looking as if they are almost merging!

While the panoramic views are amazing, what you are looking for are its gardens. Said to be the most breath-taking gardens, you must come here and experience it yourself. Heavily influenced by classical literature, the garden is brimming with statues, pavilions and fountains. Don’t miss the Statue of David, crafted after the revered biblical figure and also the Statue of Ceres, honouring the Roman goddess of agriculture. Each one intricately and beautifully carved, the statues fit in perfectly with the garden’s classical appearance. A must visit whilst in the gardens is the Cloister. Adorned with intricate details, some include the seven deadly sins, complete with intricate archways. Don’t forget to look out for flowerbeds, containing exotic species of roses, there are sure to be some you have yet to see! A peaceful day of exploration awaits you here at the gardens, allowing you to have a slice of heaven.
