Colombo’s largest park, Viharamahadevi Park boasts vibrant flowering trees, sprawling palm trees and manicured lawns sporting elaborate fountains. It’s not just a beautiful spot to take a walk, there are facilities that make the park a relaxing and soothing environment for people of all walks of life to get away from the stresses of city life.


For families with children, there’s an expansive play area for your tiny tots to tumble around and play, while the parents can take a much-needed break. If you’re a bit of a sweet tooth, you can hunt for the candy floss stand. It one of the few candy floss stands left in Colombo, so go ahead and relive your childhood sugar rushes! You can also visit the serene lake, and either take a seat next to the lake to people-watch, or frolic on the suspended bridge and be one of the people being watched.
