Vidova Gora

The highest mountain of all the Croatian islands; you can even catch a glimpse of the most beautiful beach in the world at the summit.

Vidova Gora is the highest peak of the island of Brač and the highest among all the Croatian islands. Standing at 780 meters above sea level, this is a mountain worth scaling (with or without a guide), as the brilliant views at the top will take your breath away. And if you are up for a night climb, you will be rewarded with the most stunning sunrise at the peak.

Named after the St Vidus Chapel, Vidova Gora is a fantastic vantage point to view the archipelago of South Dalmatia including the island of Hvar and Korcula. You can expect a glimpse of the entire coastline and even spot Croatia's most famous beach, Zlatni Rat or "Golden Horn". The trail is dry and rocky, so hiking is recommended in Spring or Autumn. Vidova Gora is also accessible by car or bicycle.
