A slice of Europe in California.
Get a taste of Venice in sunny Southern California! The Venice Canals Walkway is all that’s left of Abbot Kinney’s dream to build a “Venice in America”. This neighbourhood is filled with sparkling man-made canals flanked by grand, beautiful buildings of all architectural styles and studded with quaint wooden bridges.
The atmosphere of Venice Canals Walkway is nothing like that of the actual city – the walkway is much sunnier and more suburban – but it’s just as delightful to stroll through. As you walk along the canals, you’ll smell lavender and rosemary wafting through the air as residents take an afternoon jog or walk their dogs. Be sure to swing by the children’s play area if you’ve got kids in tow, and check out the nearby duck pond.
