Upper Waikuni Falls

Also known as “Three Bears Falls”, don’t be surprised if you see a flash of gold from Goldilocks’ locks here.

Affectionately known as “Three Bears Falls”, this is due to the 3 separate falls of differing heights. Hana’s specialty is waterfalls and the Upper Waikuni Falls fits the bill. Cascading down from 70 feet, the three cascades flow down as parallel cascades. Many who venture here often snap a picture and leave as there is often no space to park. However, for those who dare venture, continue reading on for the secret to a great day here!

Park your car further down the road at a lot and you can start your hike down to this spectacular fall! Relatively steep, with plenty of foliage surrounding you, do be careful as you make your descend. Well worth that hike, as you arrive at the base of the waterfall, no photo can beat being right at the waterfall itself. Feeling the mist of the waters caressing your face as they hit the rocks with great force, what are you waiting for? Get right into the waters and relax. Shallow waters and plenty of smooth rocks make for a great wading pool. If you’d like, you could even stand right under the cascades and have the waters rushing down pound on sore joints and tight muscles. An invigorating experience that relaxes and refreshes everyone, it is way better than merely stopping for a photo.
