Union Square

Like its cousin Times Square, there’s just so much to see and do at Union Square.

Located in the perennially bustling downtown area of Manhattan, Union Square is constantly pulsating with life. Famed for its long-running farmers’ market, come here to stock up on the freshest produce straight from the farms themselves. From delicious fruits to artisanal cheese, homemade jams to cookies, there is surely something that will appeal to everyone. Be sure not to miss the Metronome and Countdown Clock installed by artists Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel in 1999. A work of art in itself, this massive clock displays time in a 24-hour format using LED numbers. Look out for Henry Kirke Brown’s sculptures of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, or simply watch the world go by in this square. There’s just so many things going on here and you will definitely not get bored at all.
