Beautiful, exotic garden species, all lavishly situated in themed gardens that provide sanctuary for all.
A young and up and coming garden, Ubud Botanic Gardens opened in 2006, lovingly preserving and cultivating precious greenery. The brainchild of Stefan Reisner and his wife Faizah, the two worked lovingly together, creating a space they were passionate about protecting, sharing it with the rest of the world. The gardens offer a humble and peaceful respite from the bustling city life, where everything appears to move at the speed of light. Whilst here, it is as if you can feel time slow down, taking in everything before your eyes.
With over 10 different, uniquely themed gardens, take your time to explore flora and fauna of various species. The Garden of Herbs welcomes you with the fragrant smells of parsley and mint. As you continue making your way through the meandering pathways, you are sure to come across the Orchid Park. The most famous part of the botanical gardens here, it hosts 100 species of orchids, a reminder of Faizah’s love for these beauties. As you admire the beautiful blooms, you are sure to be tantalised by the smells of cocoa and coffee, wafting into your nose. A garden that hopes to offer humble abode to more species of endangered flora and fauna, it offers hope to them and also to visitors looking to escape from the stresses of modernity.
