Come down to the Tuileries Garden for a stroll coupled with a history lesson.
Located near the Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries (Tuileries Garden) is not only a place for nature lovers, but also for history buffs as well. The first royal garden to be open to the public, the Tuileries Garden separates the Louvre from the Place de la Concorde, and is a very popular spot for Parisians and tourists to walk and relax. The garden is also considered as an "open-air" museum for visitors, where many historical statues that were sculpted by the likes of Aristide Maillol (1861 – 1944) are showcased here. Additionally, vases from the 17th to the 21st century can be spotted in the garden. If you understand French, there are free tours available too. Funfair lovers can come down to the garden from June to August, where the Fête des Tuileries will be held; with many attractions that bring fun for the whole family. Above all, do not miss out on the ferris wheel, as it offers stunning views of the city that will be sure to take your breath away.
