Calling all Game of Thrones fans! No visit to Dubrovnik is complete without a walk through the beautiful historic gardens of Trsteno Arboretum. Featured in seasons three and four as The Gardens of Red Keep, you can walk along the same beautiful garden paths where Olena Tyrell and Varys schemed against Peter Baelish, or sit at the lookout next to Olena and Margaery Tyrell to hear Sansa Stark's story.


Located in the town of Trsteno, 18km northwest of Dubrovnik, Trsteno Arboretum is the oldest arboretum in the world and the oldest Renaissance park in Croatia. Dating back to the 15th century, look out for 500-year-old architecture from the Gothic-Renaissance period amongst the 300 species of exotic plants from all over the world.

Tips Before You Go
For those of you intending to self-drive, it takes roughly 25min to travel from Dubrovnik to Trsteno Arboretum. Should you be arriving by bus, the travelling time will be about 35 min from Dubrovnik. Remember to bring along your own supply of water as drink stalls are not available on site.
