Stop by the town of Trentham and marvel at this waterfall.
Found in Southern Victoria, Trentham Falls is Victoria's longest single step drop at 32 meters. Also known as Coliban River Scenic Reserve, Trentham Falls is located near a town called Trentham, some 97km away from Melbourne. For more than five million years, the Coliban River plunged over a basalt cliff which has cut back to form the falls. Put on your walking shoes and set off on a long hike or enjoy a lovely picnic, while taking in impressive views from the viewing platforms.
For all the botanists out there, this protected reserve is a gem where you can enjoy original vegetation like manna gum, messmate, stringybark and narrow-leaved peppermint. After which, you can head back to the carpark where there are picnic tables present for you to take a rest and soak in the surrounding tranquil atmosphere.
