Tivoli Gardens

The world’s second oldest amusement park.

Perhaps this might be a little known fact but Denmark is home to not just the first but the second oldest amusement park in existence. The Tivoli Gardens, having been functioning since 1843, is the second oldest amusement park in the entire world and is without a doubt worth a visit. From roller coasters and rides for you thrill seekers, to theatre and ballet for you culture vultures, the Tivoli Gardens will satisfy even the pickiest tourist. This amusement park was something of a celebrity haunt, with the likes of Hans Christian Anderson and Walt Disney having graced this place with their presence. Hop aboard the Vertigo, voted Europe’s best ride in 2014, or for something a little more nostalgic, ride the wooden Roller Coaster, Tivoli’s oldest ride. After all this excitement, you are bound to work up an appetite. Fret not, as there are several dining options to fill those empty tummies, from typical Danish fare to Asian food.

With much to do, Tivoli Gardens is there to serve your every whim and fancy!
