Times Square

There’s nothing like standing at the “crossroads of the world”.

You haven’t been to New York until you visit Times Square. This world-famous commercial intersection has more than a third of a million people bustling through it every day. The popular Good Morning America is broadcast live at this very place, and the New Year’s Eve ball is dropped here with much fanfare. Times Square is undeniably a quintessential part of the world’s understanding of the American spirit.

Art lovers, you definitely know this: Times Square is the hub of the Broadway Theatre District and is home to the Naked Cowboy (who is not actually found in the nude) and Planet Hollywood. If you pass by at night, the brightly illuminated billboards and advertisements are sure to dazzle. There’s just so much to do here, from hopping on sightseeing tours to being incredulous as you head to Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Times Square. If you fancy meeting pop culture icons, well-known historical figures and fictional characters, drop by Madame Tussauds to admire the wax-figurines. Or if you’re a marine animal lover, encounter the most captivating and intriguing creatures in the Pacific Ocean at the National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey. Don’t miss out the incredible experience at what is sometimes called the “Center of the Universe”!
