The Wetterhorn

The symbolic mountain of Grindelwald.

The unique, distinctive peak of the Wetterhorn draws the eye and looks strikingly akin to chiselled granite as it towers imposingly over the peaceful village of Grindelwald. Formerly known as Hasle Jungfrau, the Wetterhorn is one of 3 sister summits that compose the impressive mountain the “Wetterhörner”, the highest of which is Mittelhorn and the lowest and most distant the Rosenhorn. Whilst the other 2 summits are mostly hidden from view from Grindelwald, the majestic Wetterhorn is by itself a feast for the eyes and inspires visitors with its breath-taking, poetic beauty.

Climbing and hiking enthusiasts will enjoy hiking up the beautiful slopes of the Wetterhorn, and be rewarded for their efforts with amazing views of the surrounding mountainous landscape and overhanging glaciers on the ascent and at the peak. Visitors keen on enjoying a bit of solitude amidst the serenity of nature will enjoy the hike away from the hustle and bustle of nearby village life.
