This 9-km stretch of natural trails and man-made bridges lets you venture through lush greenery and catch a breath of fresh air.
Spanning across the lush greenery of some of Singapore's most popular parks and gardens, this 9-km trail is connected by bridges and pathways, making it suitable for both fitness buffs and leisure walkers. Stretching across western Singapore, there is a total of eight trails at the Southern Ridges.
You can learn about the history of the Battle of Pasir Panjang at Kent Ridge Park, or enjoy scenic views 36-metres above the ground at Henderson Waves, Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge. Other popular sections are HortPark, a 23-hectare hub for gardening-related recreational and educational activities; or Mount Faber, Singapore's second steepest hill with a trendy bar and a cable car station linking you to Sentosa Island. Not only does the Southern Ridges let you observe a wide variety of flora and fauna in their natural habitat, it also enables you to catch panoramic views of the city from its different viewpoints. While its no walk in the park, it is this very characteristic that makes the Southern Ridges so elusive and makes people keep coming back for more!
