The Pike at Rainbow Harbor

A vibrant place to kick back and have fun.

If you’re looking for something to do by the waterfront at Long Beach, The Pike at Rainbow Harbor is for you. It’s an entertainment hub that stretches over 370,000 square feet and promises something for everyone. And it’s not just a modern concept: The Pike started out in 1902 as an amusement zone just south of Ocean Boulevard. It boasted attractions of the day such as a grand bathhouse and a large wooden rollercoaster known as the Cyclone Racer. As the decades came and went, the Pike underwent numerous changes before it was finally torn down in 1979 after the Long Island City Council refused to renew its lease. People mourned the loss of a 20th century American icon.

But today, a modern incarnation of The Pike has been revived, and is now one of the hottest shopping and eating destinations in Long Island. It boasts an eclectic mix of restaurants, a huge cinema complex and sprawling outlet malls where you can dig into your favorite brands. What you can’t find elsewhere is its incredible Laugh Factory Comedy Club, glittering Ferris Wheel and open-air marketplace. It’s a unique experience of fun that you absolutely don’t want to miss!
