The Palace Museum

A museum fit for the imperial court of China must be truly exceptional!

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1987, the Palace Museum is located in the imperial palace. Established in 1925, this awe-inspiring complex will take your breath away. Just like watching a Chinese period drama, the buildings exude the charm of traditional Chinese palatial architecture. A prestigious repository of exotic paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, and antiquities can be found here, and it is said that there are more than a million rare and priceless art pieces in the permanent collection of the Palace Museum. See the Celadon Zun from the Northern Dynasties, 386-581 A.D and admire its beautiful lotus design, or gaze at the exquisite beauty of a 17th century painting by Yun Shouping, Lotus Flower Breaking the Surface. This museum will definitely leave you awestruck with its magnificent collection of ancient Chinese relics.
