Taejongdae (태종대)

Featuring majestic cliffs and awe-inspiring views.

One of the 28 Busan monuments, Taejongdae is an extremely popular natural park in Busan, on the southernmost tip of the island of Yeongdo-gu. Named after King Taejong Muyeol (604 – 661), who loved practicing archery here, the lush green forests coupled with magnificent rocky seaside cliffs facing the spectacular sea makes this area a must-visit in Busan. For the best view, head down to the Yeongdo Lighthouse at the edge of the cliff.

Besides providing breathtaking views over the cliff, the landscape here is mesmerising and should not be missed. Alternatively, head to the Observatory Station to enjoy beautiful scenery. On a clear day, one can even see Japan’s Tsushima Island from the observatory!
