Sydney Harbour Bridge

The Coathanger – an iconic Sydney landmark.

Measuring 134 m (440 ft) from the top to water level, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is the tallest steel arch bridge and sixth longest spanning-arch bridge in the world. Nicknamed the “The Coathanger” because of its arch design, this bridge was actually the most iconic landmark in Sydney before the Opera House came about. It carries railways, vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians between the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) and the North Shore, providing ample opportunities to travel on the bridge or access its pylon to achieve a panoramic view of the city.

For those seeking a more thrilling experience with a breathtaking view, why not consider climbing the bridge itself (and challenge your fear of heights!)? What an exhilirating experience it will be! Not forgetting, that rare moment of tranquility right at the top of the bridge where it is just you and the breathtaking view before you. Just a heads-up, it will take you roughly 3.5 hours to climb the bridge.
