With more than 20,000 objects, 160,000 photographs and the world’s largest collection of raised relief maps, the Swiss Alpine Museum gives visitors the chance to make new discoveries about the Alps and answers intriguing questions such as “How much water remains when a glacier melts?” and “What is a reservoir made with artificial snow?”. Great for ‘mountain climbers’ and museum lovers of all ages, the museum even has a place for unwanted or old ski equipment, making for a quirky, unique museum experience in the lovely city of Bern.
