Step into the shoes of royalty at the Stockholm Royal Palace, one of the largest palaces in Europe. The magnificent 18th century baroque palace sits on the banks of the river and is a royal residence, workplace and tourist attraction bundled into one. Its more than 600 rooms house fascinating museums, opulent reception rooms used for royal events and an impressive armoury.

At the museums, you’ll get to see all sorts of exhibitions related to the royal history, from the medieval Tre Kronor castle, which once occupied the space where the Royal Palace now stands, to the Treasury which houses the royal family’s regalia.
