Stadsparken

This beautifully cultivated park is a balm for your soul.

If you’re a nature lover looking for some greenery amidst the busy cityscape of Lund or just a lay person looking for a good experience, the beautiful park of Stadsparken is for you. With miles of rolling expansive greenery and beautifully cultivated nature, this quiet oasis will be pleasing to your eye and soul. It is the largest park in the urban area, located just southwest of the city centre and an important facility for people of the old university town.

Built in 1911 on an unused exhibition ground, the park has diversified into different garden styles and types of botany over the 100 years of its history. The heart of the park is done formally in the style of the classic French and German gardens, and then spreads outwards into a predominantly English landscape garden with features such as a large pond, well-cultivated lawns, and paved, winding paths. Of course, all this creates a tranquil and serene atmosphere for anyone who wishes to simply stroll through this majestic park, as many locals continue to do so, and should you be in the vicinity you should do so as well!
