South Curl Curl Beach

A standout surf spot.

The 1.2 km long Curl Curl beach is split into its northern and southern end with their own life saving clubs and facilities. South Curl Curl Beach is said to be one of best surfing spots in Sydney, boasting waves with an average height of 1.6 meters. It is also known to have several rips at once, the most significant being the Garbage Bowl at the southern end, so for your safety do stay between the flags when swimming at the beach.

With a swimming pool that has children-friendly features, your little ones will be more than satisfied to spend several hours there. Swimming aside, the golden strip of sand at Curl Curl Beach makes it ideal for your little ones to build sandcastles, play in the shallow azure blue waters or look for tiny crabs and shrimps that might have found their way up the coast. Whatever it is that you plan to do at Curl Curl Beach, you can be certain that it is one great location to spend quality family bonding time.
