The Song of the Forest is an egg-shaped tower located next to the Alishan Forestry Village. Opened in 2012, this unique tower is made from local materials, including stone, brass, and even the recycled Alishan railway tracks. Representing the forest industry of Chiayi, this masterpiece is 14 metres tall and 55 metres wide. Visitors can walk into the tower via a yellow rattan palm corridor, where they can enjoy the warmth of the rays of the sun that penetrate through the gaps in the structure. At night, coloured light decorate the tower, guaranteed to take your breath away. With a sight as beautiful as this, it is no wonder that it is extremely popular amongst photographers; do remember to get your camera ready for this attraction!
