Soberanes Point

A photographer and hiker’s paradise.

Soberanes Point is a 1.5-mile trail located in Garrapata State Park. This beautiful nature spot provides a fantastic hiking opportunity along the jagged Pacific coastline; watch the seagulls as they fly freely in the sky or perch on the huge rocks by the waters for a rest. Bring your binoculars along to spot the exotic sea creatures, such as the harbour seals, sea lions and sea otters that love to frolic in the coastal waters. If your timing is right, you might even be lucky enough to catch the yearly migration of the Californian grey whales in the Pacific Ocean. Nature lovers will also appreciate the verdant coastal vegetation and lovely wildflowers on the trails. A ruggedly beautiful sanctuary, feel the mighty power of nature as the strong waves crash mercilessly against the massive rocks.
