Slottsskogen

Inspired by the winding lanes and wide open spaces of London’s famous Hyde park, Slottsskogen is everything you could hope for when looking to escape from the mundane routine of work and reconnect with nature.

Nature’s gifts have been ingeniously adapted to become a wonderland of parks, cafes and recreation centres for the ultimate day out. Sporty people longing to get those muscles moving and work up a sweat will revel in the volleyball courts, miniature golf courses and even an outdoor gym that’s been set up in the park. If you think playgrounds are only for children, boy will you be proved wrong once you encounter the popular Plikta adventure playground with massive slides and quirkily designed climbing frames, swings and trampolines that will take you right back to your childhood.

Cafes are dotted around the park serving light bites, cool, creamy ice cream and refreshing drinks, but there’s still plenty of space for you to whip out your picnic blanket and tuck into your favourite homemade nosh! The park zoo is a must-see for all animal lovers, young and old alike, while the hilltop observatory will allow you to marvel at the stars and planets like never before. The park hosts a one of a kind 3 day music festival Way out West in the summer which would be a great way to shake things up a little, and shake your body to the incredible music of world-famous artists such as the Kanye West.
