Officially opened in 1991, the Sherlock Holmes Museum (Meiringen) was created to pay homage to the 100th death anniversary of Sherlock Holmes in the basement of the old English church located in the centre of Meiringen village.


Sherlock fans will fall in love with the cosy museum, displaying a variety of memorabilia showcasing the history of their favourite detective. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the museum would be the authentic recreation of the parlour of Sherlock and his assistant, Dr Watson’s Victorian home, located at 221B Baker Street in London.
