Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Gardens

A peaceful green oasis.

A vast open space of greenery and tranquillity, the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Gardens is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby city life. With multiple themed gardens such as a beautiful rose garden, an exotic Australian plants garden, and a fun children’s garden, it is perfect for families and couples alike.

Visitors can hike up mini Chen Shan Hill within the gardens to bask in the spray off “Shanghai’s only waterfall”, and enjoy sweeping panoramas over the surrounding greenery from the pagoda perched atop the hill. Fancy a romantic boat ride? Small boats (life jackets included) are available for rent and are ideal for exploring the beautiful pond located within the botanical gardens. Nature lovers should definitely not miss out on the on-site greenhouse, home to several species of exotic flora and plants from different corners of the globe.
