Sentiero panoramico Busatte Tempesta

A panoramic path along Lake Garda.

The hike between Busatte and Tempesta is a 5km leisurely walk with beautiful views of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. The “sentiero panoramico,” or the panoramic trail takes you from Parco delle Busatte, above the village of Torbole to the first set of stairs, Salt della Cavra, bolted to the hills, followed by Corno de Bò and Val Calcarole. Along the way, you will be greeted with fantastic views of the lake, as well as signs that explain the scenery and history of the lake, as well as the flora and fauna you see along the way. About 110m up on Mount Baldo, the highest elevation the trail goes to is about 380m, a leisurely climb on stairs that most can make. Even young children are thus welcome on this trail that runs over 2km one-way.

You see the picturesque villages of Riva and Torbole, as well as the boats and activities on the lake itself, against a backdrop of the mountains that surround it, sights that seem to come right out of a picture book! Tempesta, once marking the Italian border during the Austria-Hungary empire, is a historical village with its own beauty, so make sure to spend some time there as well!

Tips Before You Go
A trail on the east side of the lake, it is recommended that you bring lots of water and not hike during the hottest months of summer or in the mid-afternoon! Car parking is available at Torbole, and there are buses that run between the two villages if you don’t feel like making the same trip back!
