Saturday Morning Market, St. Petersburg

Opening from October-May each Saturday at St Petersburg, Florida.

Located just next to Tampa Bay on the Al Lang Stadium parking lot, the Saturday Morning Market greets Floridians every (you guess it!) Saturday Morning between October and May, reflecting the growing season in Florida. They have a smaller Summer Market in Williams Park as well during the rest of the months. The largest market in the southeast US, the Saturday Morning Market is run by a non-profit organisation and aims to bring farmers and artisans together, bringing joy to the community.

With 170 approved vendors filling over 130 spaces, the Market sees over 10,000 visitors every Saturday and boasts the most number of national foods or styles available than any other market in the US, from Polish to Thai, from Greek to Ethiopian. There are vegetarian and vegan stalls there as well. Running a farmers’ market in Florida, run by large agri-businesses and very few small farmers, is difficult, but the Saturday Morning Market has done it amazingly well, with the huge variety in food stalls and trucks.

They even have live music playing, and invite artists, usually locals, to perform in the centre, with over 150 chairs and 25 tables for people to relax and sit back, enjoying food, good company, and great music. Happening from 9am to 2pm every Saturday, the Morning Market is a great way to start your weekend before moving on to other adventures on Tampa Bay.
