Museum of the most popular beer in Japan.

Hokkaido has always been synonymous with the beer culture in Japan. The birthplace of beer in Japan, it is home to one of the oldest and most popular beer brands in the country: Sapporo Beer. The Sapporo Beer Museum was first opened in 1987 in a former brewery from the Meiji Period. Here, visitors will learn all about the history of beer in Japan, as well as the process of brewing beer. Of course, what would a visit to a beer museum be without drinking beer? At Sapporo Beer Museum, visitors can enjoy beer tasting at the end of the tour for a small fee. Alternatively, visitors can head next door to the Sapporo Beer Garden, where you will discover a number of restaurants serving the country’s most delicious beer.
