Santa Monica Farmers Market

What started out to be for purely humble and simple purposes has now transformed into the equivalent of a mobile phone in our lives now.

Started in 1981, Santa Monica’s flagship market was truly hipster, the trend-setter for farmers markets to begin popping out of nowhere. These days, farmers markets are all the rage, a trend that appears to have no sign of disappearing! Absolutely relevant and necessary in our time and age, they provide the freshest seasonal produce all year round.

Starting out with only 4 farmers initially, the concept of a farmers market bloomed, with the Santa Monica Farmers Market welcoming more than 9000 shoppers daily. Aimed to bring quality produce to consumers, they even sought to keep prices low and sustainable for all. Fresh produce is not the only thing you get, on different days, the Santa Monica Farmers market houses organic produce, food booths, amazing live music and even face-painting! Now hosting many more start-up bakeries as well as Instagram worthy foods, many flood here not just for the edibles, but most importantly, the relaxing and homely atmosphere many store owners exude. With such a wide variety of activities, knock yourself out here.
