Saeyeongyo Bridge

One of the longest pedestrian bridges in South Korea!

Saeyeongyo Bridge is a pedestrian bridge situated on Saeseom Island, South Korea. It is the longest walkable overpass constructed in the southern part of the country. The bridge is inspired by ‘Tewu’, which is the traditional log boat found in Jeju. It was officially established in 2009 and currently links the Birds Island with Seogwipo Port. Besides that, it is also the first single cable-stayed bridge ever built in Korea. The bridge comes with a major tower and beautiful lights as well. The bridge has facilitated easier travel for visitors who wish to check out the Birds Island, which was designed as a warm temperate forest conservation zone for flora and fauna. After crossing the bridge, do enjoy the leisure amenities such as the forest trekking paths and be sure to take in the beautiful sceneries as well.

Tips Before You Go
If you’re visiting this bridge during the summer, then make sure you bring plenty of insect repellent with you. Mosquitoes are everywhere during this period of time, and you can expect lots of bites all over your arms and legs. Wear something that covers them up to really protect yourself.
