An extensive art museum that was once home to one of the most influential artists in Antwerp – Peter Paul Rubens.

The Rubenshuis Museum was formally the home of Peter Paul Rubens, a renowned artist who has had a strong presence and influence in Antwerp. Within the museum, one would be exposed to a myriad of artworks, from both its temporary and permanent exhibitions, which are reminiscent of Rubens and his work.

You will get the opportunity to appreciate the extensive artworks throughout the various parts of Rubens’ former residence, from the house to the studio. In addition, explore the renaissance gardens outside which retains the stylistic features of its time and is a lovely, ornamental space that has been relatively well maintained since the 18th century, with the porch and garden pavilion still intact. Definitely a must-go if you are an art-enthusiast; be sure not to miss out on any segment of the mansion when you are there, as the entire place is rich in artistic value and emblematic of Belgian history and culture.
