Royal Automobile Museum

Take a peek at King Hussein’s extensive automobile collection.

King Hussein was known for his warm character, courage, and strength. He was also known as the “bridge” between the Arabs and the west, with leaders from all over the world attending his funeral in 1999. Not only were four American presidents present, it was also the largest gathering of international leaders since four years prior. Along with his fierce and persevering reign, he had a famous collection of dozens of automobiles.

These are now housed in the Royal Automobile Museum as requested by his son and current king, King Abdullah. Arranged in a chronological order, there are more than 70 cars, motorcycles, and even a 1947 De Havilland Dove aircraft that you can find here. Don’t be surprised to find sports cars here too – see if you can spot a 1952 Aston Martin or a Ferrari F50! King Hussein would also cruise through the desert on his Harley-Davidson, which can be found amongst over 50 motorcycles. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a car enthusiast or not as you’re guaranteed to love this museum.
