This gargantuan stadium has witnessed the evolution of culture through the multitude of performances, games and events that it has hosted within its walls.

Built in 1922, this National Historic Landmark has garnered international repute for being the venue for all events big and bigger in modern history. Of course, it earned its title for hosting the “Granddaddy of Them All” among college football games, the Rose Bowl. It has also held five Super Bowls, an event which has become a household name all across America. Considered the number one venue for college sports, it is no surprise that world famous athletic events that have taken place on its fields include two FIFA World Cup Finals and Summer Olympic matches in soccer and cycling. It has also seen its fair share of musical performances. The biggest stars of every era have graced the Rose Bowl with their jaw-dropping talents, with of the likes of the iconic Guns N’ Roses, U2, Beyonce, Eminem, Rihanna and even the King of Pop Michael Jackson. In recent years, internationally loved One Direction was the first music act to sell out three consecutive nights here in the stadium. The bowl needs its incredible seating capacity of 90,800 to seat the legions of fans of these superstars.


Every second Sunday of the month, without fail, the Rose Bowl Flea Market makes an appearance here in the stadium. With more than 2,500 vendors and 20,000 monthly visitors, this market claims to be the largest on the West Coast. It sells anything and everything vintage, antiques, collectibles, furniture, art, jewellery, photographs, if it was an item of value during its time, it’ll be sold here at the market. On the fourth of July, watch the largest fireworks show in Southern California light up the sky with spectacular colours, and celebrate America’s independence with live music, food vendors and crafts.
