Riverside Park

22 reasons to have fun!

One of the most scenic areas in New York, Riverside Park is located along the Hudson River that stretches over the width of 80 streets. The park is packed with 22 facilities that any fun-loving individual will enjoy. Families with young children will appreciate its themed playgrounds, with elephants, hippos and even dinosaurs! Nature lovers will find great pleasure in its bird sanctuary, complete with water features that draw in many avian species and butterflies, a scene right out of a Disney movie. There is also a Warsaw Ghetto Memorial near 83rd Street that remembers the six million Jews who were killed under Hitler’s reign. The monument is fairly simple in design but its simplicity eludes a rather poignant air about itself. Although many proposals have been put forward for a more elaborate structure, the plaza still welcomes many visitors who leave a bouquet of flowers to pay their respects to the victims. So whether you are in the mood for a history lesson, or simply in search of some relaxation, the Riverside Park has it all!
