Rippon Lea Estate

The last remaining 19th-century suburban estate in Australia.

Rippon Lea Estate is the last 19th-century suburban estate in Australia. Beautiful and quaint, it embodies what life in Australia used to look like and preserves national identity. Currently in the care of the National Trust of Australia, the estate was included into the Australian National Heritage List in 2006. As beautiful as she is, Rippon Lea is also big - a total of 45 acres, with a swimming pool, ballroom, fernery, boathouse and lake to name a few of the luxurious amenities there. A part of the estate is now used by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for their TV shows. Rippon Lea estate displays the wealth of the 19th century and stands today preserving a time in history that will never be again.
