Reeds Lookout and the Balconies – Halls Gap

A natural getaway in the city of Melbourne.

Contrary to popular belief, Melbourne isn't all city. The Reeds Lookout and the Balconies in the beautiful Grampians National Park is proof of that. From the Reeds Lookout, you will be greeted with absolutely phenomenal views of Victoria Valley, Victoria Range, Serra Range, Lake Wartook and the Mt Difficult Range. From there, walk for a couple of kilometers, and you will arrive at one of the best places for a photograph - the Balconies! Once known as the Jaws of Death, keep your wits about you as you walk all the way to the edge - unprotected, and take the most stunning picture. It will look as though you're standing on the tip of the world. Sunsets here are another phenomenon altogether. The sky puts on an indescribable spectacle - dousing itself with the brightest colors. The Reeds Lookout and the Balconies are attractions you do not want to miss when in Melbourne.
