Redwood National Park

Crane your neck and be awed by these towering trees.

Along Northern California’s coast, you will find an area filled with trees so tall that you wonder where they will even end. Part of a series of other parks such as Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park and Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, the Redwood National Park is the last on the list that was established in 1968. Densely packed with majestic redwoods, one of the tallest tree species in the world, the park has proven to be a big draw. You will be able to see it for yourself once you stand amidst the magnificent groves of redwoods.

If you require a little crash course on the redwoods first, head to the Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center, where you can learn a little more about these fascinating trees. With several different hiking trails to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice as to which area you would like to discover first. Not only will you see the famed trees on your journey, but prairies, amazing beaches and animals too. Grab your hiking boots and compass for a day full of adventure at the Redwood National Park!
