Rahmi M. Koç Museum

Feast your eyes on the engineering feats of mankind.

A private industrial museum located in Istanbul, the Rahmi M. Koç Museum is dedicated to the history of transportation and communications. Opened in 1994, the majority of the exhibited items are Rahmi Koç's private collections, supplemented with donations from various other organizations and individuals. Let your eyes feast on the engineering feats of mankind with original pieces of machinery, some replicas, as well as many scientific and mechanical items on display. Whether it is air, sea or land, one can find almost anything and everything related to those forms of transportation. With thousands of items to see, one must not miss out on the Old Istanbul tram (1934), Sultan's carriage (1867) and even a Strassbourg turret clock. Entertaining for both adults and kids, drop by the Museum Tearoom for a break in between your adventures or visit the Museum Shop to purchase a souvenir to take home with you. To catch a perfect sunset over the Golden Horn, grab a drink at the Barbarossa Pub or dine in the Halat Restaurant.
