The park underwent an amazing transformation; once a muddy swamp, it now boasts lush and beautiful greenery. Spread across a space of 52 hectares, many breathtaking landscapes of lakes, towering trees and lovely flower beds await, as well as iconic structures such as the red ‘Poet’s Bridge’ hidden within a canopy of trees.


The Kunming Garden Spring Wind pavillion is an ideal site for picnics or simply to bask in the natural beauty all around. Pukekura Park becomes even more whimsical during the evenings of the annual Festival of Lights (December to February), presenting a truly colourful atmosphere with captivating light displays illuminating the peaceful park grounds.
