A flagship branch of the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences in Sydney, the Powerhouse Museum is situated in the former Ultimo Power Station building since 1988. Housing more than 350,000 artifacts, an array of permanent exhibitions in addition to a few temporary display spaces, the Powerhouse Museum is not just focused on science and technology, but also extends to decorative arts, transport, engineering, architecture, and even fashion and pop culture. There are also many special events, performances and workshops frequently held in the museum.
