Positano

Refreshing Limoncello, cool waters and a touch of coastal Italy define the Positano experience.

When anyone mentions the Amalfi Coast, what would come to your mind? Maybe you’d picture soft sand and comfortable recliners, a glass of sparkling sweet Rose that glints in the sunlight like the turquoise waters at your feet. You’d conjure up images of vibrant reds and pastel orange blocks set in tiers interspersed by bright green palm fronds. You’d picture yourself wandering through narrow paved streets and steep staircases bordered by vine covered walls.

Keep that in mind for Positano is your summer paradise brought to life. From the ledges of the mountain jut beach paths, narrow ribbons running through the town. At every turn is a matchbox boutique overflowing with colorful, billowing linen and customized, handcrafted sandals. Pop-up art galleries abound, their coastal inspirations evident in the strokes of paint and sculpted clay. Down the Via del Mulini, the main artery of Positano, you walk as you enjoy the lemon sorbet and citrus treats that are ambrosia in the heat. Caves in the belly of the mountain are home to strobe lights and Italian mixes that come alive long after the sun has set. Quaint yet wild, Positano lets you unwind amidst postcard perfect scenery.

Tips Before You Go
There’s much to see throughout the Amalfi coast so ferries and rented boats departing from Positano will take you to the adjacent Capri Island and Amalfi town. This makes a trip down to the islands in close proximity readily available for an impromptu get-away. Another way to explore the coast would be along the Path of Gods or “Sentiero degli Dei” which leads from Nocelle, located directly above Positano, to Agerola over 5miles. The easy hike winds along with the coast, giving you a breath-taking aerial view of the coast the whole way.
