Porto Limnionas Beach

While the rocky outcroppings spotted with verdant green may not be a tourist’s first image of a beach, Porto Limnionas Beach is nonetheless a treasured secret of Zante.

Winding down the asphalt road, beyond the village of Agios Leon rise the sheer white bluffs of Porto Limnionas which guard the quiet bay within. Natural rocky stairs lead the way to the cool waters extending from the Aegan. The waters are perfect for diving and for the adventurer in your soul there are plenty of caves both big and small hidden within the cliff walls to be discovered. Although there isn’t much by the way of resort facilities, there are a few local taverns and eateries serving up authentic seafood prepared to suit the Zakyntian palate. Thankfully, Porto Limnionas still holds the advantage of being relatively unknown, allowing its visitors to take a quiet dip in its waters or to drift with the gentle ebb and flow of its currents.
